Replacement Transmitter - WS3083, WS3081, WH3081

This is the 4th in 20 yrs, so that's good for a unit exposed to the damp and all weathers. Good service and easily replaced.

First transmitter failled after about 4 years. Thought it was just flat batteries but alas no. Ordered new transmitter which arrived within a couple of days. Removed old transmitter, installed new one, reused batteries (which weren't all that old) and went to reciever unit and pressed the down arrow key as per instructions. After about 2 minutes the unit had synced up properly and was working fine. Really quick and simple.

Location of unit is on roof of a coastal 6 level building and therefore exposed to severe weather and buffeting. From ordering to delivery 3 days was exceptional service. Whilst I had difficulty obtaining data connection to base station, assistance from Ivor at Scientific was fast and successful.

No real review it is now working and the response with it delivery was very good. In the time I have been dealing with company i have not had any problems. The product appears to work well the fault with the transmitter may have been caused by electrical storm that was on at the time it failed.
