Arrived in good time. Very satisfactory. The reason for replacement is that the bearing in the original failed. Just worn out. Have had this weather station for approximately 15 years. Very satisfied. Same problem with both Anemometer and Wind Direction Indicator.

The weather station was a gift from a friend who was replacing his. After installation the wind direction readout was erratic and finally dropped off line completely after about 3 weeks. Dismantling the wind vane revealed several broken and short circuited reed switches on the circuit board. No option but to buy a new one! The online purchase worked perfectly and the the new wind vane was deliverd in 2 days. Many thanks for excellent service. Only other comment is - it would have been better in this case to be able to purchase just a replacement printed circuit board and its attached lead. There was nothing wrong with the rest of the wind vane.

This was a replacement part for an older weather station. It was easy to get exactly what I wanted with a nice discount. I am also delighted that my weather station's other parts are readily available, as before I stumbled across Scientific Sales , I threw away several very expensive weather stations, thinking that I could not get parts for them. Once I worked out what I needed for my weather station it was easy to order and pay. A few days delivery and am up and running. Would be nice if it came with simple instructions like restart the LCD screen. Had to work out why I was getting no readings.
