Wind Anemometer Cups for WH1081, WS1081, WS1083, WS1093, WS2083, WS3083

I needed a replacement anemometer because I accidentally broke my one while maintaining my station (it's on a 4 M aluminium mast) in my garage. Old one wouldn’t run in one direction. This replacement was easy to fit and synced easily.

I have had to replace the original one as two of the cups had broken off, never had any break off the other weather station I had. Easy to fit and good service.

I've had a weather station up on our roof for about 16 years now and have replaced three of these. They are generally rugged with a strong main bearing and we have had winds up to 150km/h in our exposed position next to the beach on the east coast near Whangarei. The problem with these is the magnet embedded in the cup hub. This is not well protected and eventually rusts and expands, firstly slowing the cups as it rubs on the housing below, then stalls it altogether. Some sort of weatherproof coating on the magnet should slow this down. Our atmosphere is damp and salty so the unit would probably survive better away from the coast.
