The Aercus Instruments WeatherMaster is the latest in the Aercus range of fully-featured weather stations. The all in one outdoor sensor array measures temperature, humidity, rainfall, solar radiation, UV Index, wind speed and wind direction. In addition, the indoor sensor measures your indoor temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure.
The WeatherMaster, is the most feature-rich and advanced mid-range station in New Zealand for personal or professional use. Includes support for several additional sensors, and WiFi upload to variety of popular community sites.

Everything just worked out of the box.
I received this weather station within only a few days or ordering which was surprising leading up to Christmas 2021. I don't know what makes this outdoor weather station equipment unique to Aercus, in that it seems to be the same unit but branded differently overseas? Regardless, the outdoor weather station is well made and looks like it will last the extremes of NZ weather. The assembly of the wind vane and anemometer cups was very straight forward. A trip to a hardware store sorted out a suitable pole and base clamp. The weather station clamp is adequate - haven't lost it in a strong Canterbury Nor'wester yet. The indoor console set-up was incredibly easy given the instructions and I have it powered from the wall using the supplied power plug. It was the coloured console that really swung my decision to buy this model over any other. Connection to Wi-Fi, Ecowitt and Wunderground was very straight forward and easy - first time each time. This allows connections to various apps I use on iOS/iPhone. The SD Card allows me to archive the weather reports from the past and I'll probably write myself an API to use this data offline. I did rotate the position of the outdoor unit 180 degrees. This seemed to be the best way to set this up for the Southern hemisphere. The instructions suggested looking at an appendix for this set-up which I couldn't find, but everything works as expected once I subtracted 180 degrees off the wind direction in the console settings. The indoor sensor is great too. Email response time from Ivor at Scientific Sales was timely and helpful too. Overall, I'm very happy with my Aercus weather station purchase from Scientific Sales. Highly recommended.

A great product with a couple of caveats
I am enjoying this product. A couple of small things would improve this. 1. It would be handy if this had a local cache on the weather station as when the console is disconnected due to a power outage there is no ability for a catch up to the console. 2. What is not mentioned is that there is a handy application WSView Plus which makes setting up the console so much easier. I was unable to setup a connection to Weather Cloud without this application. I use the android version of the application.

WeatherMaster + Soil probe, Air Quality and extra temp humidity sensor.
Very impressed, this is my third weather station and by far the best. Setup was far easier than previous stations with the wireless instruments seamlessly connecting as soon as they were turned on (unlike previous stations) Color console is very impressive with the only drawback I have found is the lack of battery power to prevent setting loss when power is interrupted. Rain bucket seems to pickup light rain which previous models have not and this is the first station with built in solar sensor which performs exceptionally compared to the hobby board\1wire solar add on sensors I have used in the past. Very good value for money. Also check out was smooth and easy, delivery was quick.
