Worked a treat

Correct replacement for my weather station and fixed my problem. The old one had done many years of service and a big wind gust seized it.

Anemometer cups

The small bearing that the cups rotate on had partially seized after 10 years which gave inaccurate readings, a call to SS gave a replacement
But others be aware ultra violet light makes the plastic very brittle and every thing fell apart when handled..
Everything lined up so it made repalcement a breeze
I am very pleased with the excellent service I received and am back recording wind speed
Make it part of your maintenance and have a spare on hand.

The bearings in the old one finally failed, so we are now back in business with a new sensor

Ease of replacement

I found the wind cup unit easy to replace in my existing weather station.
The only issue was having to drill 2 new screw holes in the base as they didn't align with the original holder.
